Inspired by an applique coverlet made in England in the early 1800 in the collection of the
Denver Art Museum and featured in the Museum’s exhibition: “First look, Second Glance”.
My coverlet is a much simplified and brighter version of the original quilt which contains
fine applique of vases, flower sprays and many different birds.
This coverlet is English Paper Pieced, hand pieced and appliqued. Packs of pre-cut papers are available to make this quilt.
